As most of you are aware, the past couple days have been emotionally challenging for all of us close to Dad/Ken. We continue to feel and appreciate the outpouring of love, care and prayers from family and friends during this difficult time.  Earlier today, the family met with the ICU and Palliative care teams here at Ochsner.  The family is honoring the wishes of our father/Ken. We are now resigned to what is imminent and leaving the remainder of his life between him and our Lord and Savior.  We ask that you pray for continued strength, peace and comfort to all of us that love my Dad so much.

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” – Romans 8:18

Love to all from the Hollis family and friends

  6. All my love and prayers go out to the Hollis family and my dear friend Diane.....I am sure the support group is enormous but remember there are a lot of people out here that love and care for Ken and Diane. We do know that God always has a plan......Ken has touched many people and is loved and respected by many..... Respect.....that is a powerful word and Ken has earned it, not many people can say that......I love you Diane....

  10. Although we have never met, I feel as if I know you all through Joyce, my sister. It is so sad that this has to happen to Ken. He has been so good to everyone and deserves such in return. I have no doubt there will be a "special" place for him in heaven. Cherish your memories.

  12. At this moment I think of the many opportunities Ken had to be a friend and how often he came through. I hope the fact of his many kindnesses will help Diane and the family weather this loss. We will see Ken again in a better place.

  13. Diane, I'm thinking about you in your time of grief, and also continuing to pray to God for your peace. I know how much Ken truly loved you. I've always known you were like an angel to him. He always told me that you were the best thing that ever happened to him.

My thoughts and prayers will remain with you and your family. I will miss Ken alot.
