Ken's current medical status remains largely unchanged from yesterday.  He is still on dialysis and still in ICU.  They have recently put him on a morphine drip to keep him comfortable.  The doctors have suggested that we limit visitors to immediate family and only for short intervals over the next couple days.  While the family appreciates and enjoys everyone's company and well wishes, we ask that you be patient over the next couple days as we give Ken time to gain his strength.   Of course we continue to be lifted by your prayers!

"My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge."   -- Psalm 62:7

  1. Please tell Ken that the Sprick family is praying for his comfort and recovery. What a wonderful guy he is!

Hannah and Molly still talk about visiting "Sen. Ken Hollis" in Baton Rouge. That was a great memory for them. Also, please let Ken know that Hannah is now a college freshman and Molly started high school this year. Lynne is not quite an empty-nester, but it is a lot more quiet around the household.

Our very best to Ken and family,

    Phil Sprick

  2. Dear Hollis Family - I just wanted to drop in and say that Ken - and all of you - are in my thoughts and prayers. The generosity and hospitality of the whole Hollis clan are legendary in my life - and my memories of Mardi Gras and other NOLA weekends spent at Mr. Ken's house are, even many years later, a joy to me. I know Mr. Ken has brought that joy to so many people and that all their love and prayers are no doubt being sent his way now.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all,

    Debbie Edney
